Sexton Creeps
Combine Sixteen Horsepower with Sonic Youth and you will get something like Sexton Creeps. This collective from Groningen whirls with a theatrical fashion into folk and psychedelics. Its cast varies from three to eleven members and is characterized by divergent collaborations. Sexton Creeps is a band that’s like an unreliable stove: sometimes it’ll provide warmth in dark days, and sometimes it’ll leave you with burn marks you won’t easily forget.
The Cherees
The Cherees is a brand new band from Groningen, Netherlands. On vocals and guitar there’s Arnold Nieborg, who also plays in The Monroes, Los Obamas, Sexton Creeps and some other projects. On vocals and bass Fiona van Gelder, who previously played in Boogiechillers. On the drums Arnoud Herder.
Their music varies from surfy, poppy songs sounding like, Allah-La’s or Raveonettes to Noisy Shoegaze and Garage a la Jesus & Marychain.
